How do I get a fancy Discord nickname?
Type your name above, copy a style, then open the server menu, choose Edit Server Profile and paste it as your nickname.
Do I need fancy fonts for bold in Discord messages?
No. Discord messages support markdown: **bold**, *italic* and __underline__. Use styled letters where markdown does not work.
How do I change my font on Discord?
Discord has no font setting. Type your text above, copy a style, and paste it into Discord. The letters are Unicode symbols, so they keep their look anywhere.
Is this font generator free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up and no limit.
Why do some letters show as boxes?
Older phones and some apps do not have every Unicode symbol. Bold, italic and script work almost everywhere. Rare styles may not.
Are fancy fonts bad for accessibility?
Screen readers may read styled letters one by one or skip them. Use them for a name or a single line, and keep the main message in plain text.
Do styled letters count as more characters?
Often, yes. Each styled letter is a symbol outside the basic alphabet. X counts each one as 2, so leave room.
